Abstract

Vaginal bleeding of uterine origin due to benign or malignant condition is a potentially fatal situation, with the use of endovascular procedures for its management, images of vascular lesions have been identified incidentally, such as the presence of pseudoaneurysm in the pelvic arteries such as the iliac vessels, until now there is little reported evidence of its presentation in oncological pathologies. Its incidence is unknown given its scarce presentation and the existing evidence is based mainly on case reports. In patients with oncological pathologies, this condition corresponds to an incidental finding when performing the therapeutic approach of pelvic bleeding from the vagina or rectum or infectious pictures of tumor origin with compromise of vascular structures. Four cases are presented, two of them in patients with cervical carcinoma, another with rectal carcinoma and finally one with a diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma of the left lower limb. The first two cases consulted the emergency department for vaginal bleeding, the third for rectal bleeding, with hemodynamic instability, all requiring embolization of the pelvic vessels for their control, identifying as an incidental finding during the endovascular procedure a fluoroscopic image of a pseudoaneurysm; the fourth case corresponds to an intraoperative finding that was subsequently documented by fluoroscopy and angiography.
